Today I’m taking you on a little blogging d-tour through the beautiful land of my imagination. One that makes you everything but sick – referring to my poor car-sick kids last week when we took a d-tour through the French mountains – and above all, happy for the rest of your day!
The thing is, I love to make smoothies. And this my loyal Instagram-following already knows. I love them most when they color pastel when blended. However, the BEST ones are looking the worst. Like this one for example… the Lean Green.
In my series of Favorite Instagram smoothies so far “That’s Amore” this is the best one I will give you. Not that the other are ones yet to come are not good, on the contrary, they will be fabulous, but this one is basically all I want in the morning. When I wake up, by the crack of dawn – or even before, since our kids are terribly jet lagged after our Europe holiday and wake us up at 4.30AM – with one eye open, I take my post-thyroidectomy medication, plug-in my new best friend the KitchenAid® Pro Line® Series Blender – this one definitely I upped my blended-game – and get all the ingredients…
- 1 cup of frozen strawberries – this is easy, fresh, and make my smoothies COLD.
- 1 cup of frozen kale
- 3 table spoons of yoghurt
- 1/2 cup of oats
- 1 (or 1,5) cup of sparkling water
- 2 mugs and 2 straws
- I like to I add a teaspoon of Organic Burst Maca powder too, but while shooting this, I ran out of this.
Literally put EVERYTHING together in my KitchenAid® miracle worker, and switch it on. Don’t do anything but look at it for the next 1 min, until it’s perfectly smooth.
Daniel – the man behind the camera – was a bit scared of this green stuff, but he admitted that it tasted damn good. Not at all what you would expect of a green smoothie. So here’s to creating the best possible start of my day, with my cold Lean Green!
More smoothies are coming your way, but I would also love to hear what your favorite smoothie recipes are, and maybe, I will give yours a try next time!
This post was created in collaboration with KitchenAid® USA for which I used their KitchenAid® Pro Line® Series Blender!
